...as promised

well i have been told it is time to post pics of my belly. i am four months now and i haven't really felt anything yet but i'm told it will happen soon. my parents are here this weekend and we are going to spend the rest of their time here at the lake. dad and steve went to the patriots game last night and we beat the giants in the final pre-season game. dad and i are going with stacey and her dad tonight to the red sox game. we are due for a win after the yankees series. mom and dad came with lots of gifts for the baby so steve and i are enjoying our gift time each day. they also brought family videos that my dad transferred to dvd's so we have hours of entertainment mixed with dizzying shots of merry go rounds and easter egg hunts...and lots of good hair styles and clothes.

so here's the update of pics and we'll add more when we go for our 18 week ultrasound when we find out whether we're having a boy or a girl! by the way, my pregnancy aversions include but are not limited to hamburgers, chicken (depending on what it's with), and lunch meat sandwiches.

heartbeat...only one

So just to confirm...there is only one little bean inside me. And we did hear the heartbeat last week. What an amazing experience! Every now and then we would hear a loud sound, which was my heartbeat, but you could hear the fast pace of the baby's heartbeat. We will have the next ultrasound at 18 weeks when we will hopefully find out the sex of the baby. And we're not private about these things, so you'll know the sex and probably the name we've chosen that day. I will post a pic of my growing belly soon. It has started poking out a little and I think my belly button will pop sooner than most (C: I also bought our first gift/ item for the baby the day we heard the heartbeat. It's this cute floppy elephant that is so soft and lays flat. I love it! Got it at Aunt Sadie's in the South End...one of my fave stores.

Our exciting news!

Well the time has come to share our exciting news with one and all. Steve and I are going to be parents...in February to be specific. We are so excited and ready to meet our new little baby and we're working with Felix so he can be as supportive as possible during this new transition. We both think he will be somewhat jealous of this new person taking the attention away from him. For those of you who have been to our home, we're going to use the limey yellow room upstairs (to be painted soon) for the nursery. We will be updating this blog with pics of my growing belly as a benefit for those who are far away and will not get to see the progression in person as well as any ultrasounds we have. I have attached our first pictures of our little one (don't know whether it's a boy or girl yet) from when it was just 10 weeks old. I am now 13 weeks and we can find out the sex as soon as 16 weeks but it can take up to 20 weeks to tell. Don't worry...you'll find out almost as soon as we do. I hope you enjoy our little progressive story over the next several months and following when we will likely post an enormous amount of pictures once the little "bean" is born (it's actually between the size of a lime and a lemon).
